Forrest Wang takes 2nd at D1GP USA!

Congrats to Forrest for taking 2nd at DIGP USA's Round 3 in Chicago!  On the bumpy Soldier Field parking lot, the Stance 3-Ways gave Forrest's car the ability to soak up the harsh bumps and have the car remain stable throughout the course.  Forrest had a great finish, but it was not without a few road blocks.  After breaking his transmission on Friday practice, Forrest almost had his weekend cut short, but thanks to our friends Simba and CMWerks,

Forrest was able to get a new transmission in for Saturday's event.  During qualifying, Forrest qualified 2nd behind Daigo Saito and his Chaser.  He beat out his first tandem opponent where he would go on to face Tanaka and his Team Orange STI.  The first run was filled with confusion which lead to a "One More Time."  After a drama-filled one-more time, Forrest was awarded the win to face Kumakubo of Team Orange.  For one reason or another, Kumakubo did not drive and Forrest was awarded a bye to face Nomuken and his Blitz R34.  After their first pass, it was too close to call for the judges so they ran a OMT.  According to Forrest, "I was definitely out matched grip wise, he had a ton [of] grip due to his tire compound, and he was able to carry his speed better through the first clipping point. We ended up doing a One More Time but I just didn’t have the grip."  We expect more great finishes from the best privateer drifter in America.  Once again, we'd like to congratulate Forrest for his great finish, and wish him the best.
