Forrest Wang at Formula D Road Atlanta

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Great showing at Formula D rd.2 for STANCE driver Forrest Wang. After an amazing qualifying run in the rain securing the #1 slot, Forrest lost a tough battle to 1200hp+ Daigo Saito, but showed that he can hang with the former champ! Forrest finished 9th overall.

“While LS-swaps may be generally old news in the U.S., they’re certainly still a bit more of a rarity in Japan—Hence why this JDM slash ‘Emurican build attracted so much attention. Not to mention, who could ever get tired of staring at a showroom-ready, fully functional 180SX? Advans and a TRA Kyoto’s Rocket Bunny 6666 Customs kit!? Sex?—Yes, please.”

Redline Time Attack Rd. 5 Recap

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Redline Time Attack Round 5 at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois started off resembling a repeat of Round 3 in Vegas for the Super Modified class STANCE Evo VIII, but after a fairly simple fix things turned around quickly with a great finish.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”3959″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”yes” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”3960″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”yes” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]

Having had little-to-no practice time on Saturday due to a small issue with the water pump gasket on the STANCE EVO VIII, all eyes were on us throughout the day on Sunday. And despite that the event had attracted a number of big name tuning shops and high performing cars, it seemed like the event’s announcers and Redline girls were by us more often than not, mingling with our driver and crew, relishing in our car’s wild appearance and impressive performance.

After securing a blazing fast 1:27.791 during the Record Assault, on our first and only hot lap of the session, our pit-area started to fill with intrigued spectators, curious members of other crews, and photographers vying to capture a glimpse of the car that had set the fastest time of the day thus far.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”3961″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”yes” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”3962″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”yes” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Here’s a look at some of the STANCE-equipped cars in the paddock at Autobahn:

[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_slide” interval=”5″ images=”3963,3964,3965,3966,3967,3968,3969,3970″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]

On-track presence:

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_slide” interval=”5″ images=”3971,3972,3973,3974,3975,3976,3977,3978″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

The STANCE team was pleased with the results, looking forward to the second timed sessions and a crack at the Autobahn course record, but with isolated thunderstorms in the forecast the weather now came into play. Shortly after the scheduled lunch break and partially into the official time attack session, a series of storms moved in and rain began to fall.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”3979″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”yes” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Even though our day was rendered complete with the cancellation of the second Modified and Super Modified timed sessions due to the weather, the STANCE Race Team and a number of STANCE-equipped drivers had finished with spots on the podium.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”3980″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”yes” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Congrats to Dave, Devin and Jeff for their respective successful finishes; and toTrent Choi and the TF/STANCE Race Team for taking the overall win! Thanks to everyone who came out to help and support us at Redline Time Attack Round 5 at Autobahn! We are very much looking forward to Round 6 at Willow Springs International Raceway, turning up the boost and continuing to establish ourselves as one of the top race teams competing in Redline Time Attack.

STANCE at Formula D Road Atlanta

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]A tough weekend for Stephan Verdier, with only himself to crew he had to make sure everything with the car was in tip-top shape. Discussing with him after the last race, we helped with a new set up. The car was working great and Stephan qualified 7th, but unfortunately his rear diff broke on him before his first tandem. We hope Stephan can get the mechanical gremlins fixed because we know he has a podium finish coming[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”4162″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”yes” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

On the Pro-Am side, our good friend Brian Peter took the top honors, piloting his S14 on Stance GR+ Pros to win the event. Congrats to BP on taking first place on the Pro-Am side. We know he has more big things in store for him.
